Our Range Of Services

Our History

Lumetra has more than two decades of experience in providing diverse healthcare consulting services to a wide range of public and private sector clients.

Our organization’s initial focus was on improving care for California’s Medicare beneficiaries through medical review when we became a federally-designated Peer Review Organization in 1984. Over time, additional requirements of this contract extended to working directly with healthcare providers across the continuum of care on improving care for California’s 4.4 million Medicare beneficiaries.

Lumetra is California`s federally-designated Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO). Under this contract, issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, an agency of the US Department of Health and Human Services, we have improved the quality of care for California's Medicare population receiving care in hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies and physician offices.

In addition, many federal and state clients have benefited from our services and expertise in the areas of process improvement, healthcare review, scientific analysis, and marketing and communications.

In 2003, Lumetra created its first wholly-owned subsidiary, IntegriGuard. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska IntegriGuard is an ISO-certified and URAC-accredited organization devoted to the prevention and detection of fraud, waste, and abuse in the healthcare system.

Our second wholly-owned subsidiary, Illumisys, was launched in 2007 and is based in San Francisco, California. Illumisys provides health information technology innovation through system implementation, consulting, education, and training services to a variety of healthcare organizations including management services organizations, public health departments, regional healthcare information organizations (RHIOs), independent physician organizations, and professional medical organizations around the nation.
